Where Do You Fall?
Ramadān Daily - Day 6 (belated)
Al Hasan Al Basrī said:
لا تلقى المؤمنَ إلا يُحاسِبُ نفسَه:
You do not meet a believer except that he is taking himself to account:
ماذا أردتُ بكلمتي؟”
What did I intend by my word?
ماذا أردتُ بأكلتي؟
What did I intend by my food?
ماذا أردتُ بحديث نفسي؟
What did I intend by my self-talk?”
وإنَّ الفاجرَ يمضي قُدُمًا لا يُحاسِبُ نفسَه
Whereas the wicked person proceeds forward without holding himself accountable.
Do you question yourself like a مؤمن (believer), or do you just go about your day like a فاجر (wicked person)?
